Our Team

Principals with Institutional Depth

Broadway Capital is a principals-led firm. Every engagement is managed at the senior level — no hand-offs, no intermediaries. Our team brings direct experience from PaineWebber, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse, combined with decades of independent advisory practice spanning five continents.

Natalio Lucangeli

Executive Managing Director

Natalio Lucangeli

New York · Florida

Nat has spent more than 25 years at the intersection of real estate finance and international capital markets. His early career in foreign exchange gave him a rigorous foundation in structured risk — one he carried directly into the finance of real property, where he developed a methodology for alternative capital funding that served both lenders disposing of underperforming assets and borrowers navigating distressed situations.

In 2007, as conventional credit markets contracted, Nat identified the structural opportunity that would define Broadway Capital's model: deploying alternative capital structures to reduce perceived project finance risk and provide institutional access where traditional lenders had retreated. That approach — disciplined, non-conventional, execution-focused — remains the firm's core operating principle.

Today Nat directs Broadway's international consulting practice, bringing decades of cross-border transaction experience to project sponsors and foreign entities seeking access to U.S. institutional capital markets. He remains directly accessible throughout every engagement.

Robert Wagner

Managing Director

Robert Wagner

New York

Rob's approach to financial structuring is rooted in a discipline that predates his Wall Street career: he trained as an architect at Carnegie Mellon, and the spatial reasoning that defines architectural thinking — visualizing how all components of a system fit together before building — has remained the organizing principle of everything he has done since.

At PaineWebber's Capital Markets New Products Group, Rob was part of the team whose integration of interest rate derivatives, FX hedging, and high-yield covenants produced a structured transaction recognized by Institutional Investor as a Deal of the Year — a strategy that shaped institutional airline finance for years after. His contribution was the financial modeling and reverse-engineering of complex derivative structures into executable covenant language: the work that made the strategy buildable.

Joining Broadway Capital in 2007, Rob founded the firm's New Products group and has since served as the lead structural engineer across billions of dollars in transactions spanning multiple asset classes and geographies — designing, modeling, stress-testing, and taking structures through Moody's, Fitch, Kroll, and S&P. His focus is the engineering: finding the simplest solution to a genuinely complex financial problem, and building something that holds. He flies a Cessna 172 — the same 3D problem, different medium.

Columbia University recently invited Rob to present to current students on the relationship between architectural thinking and institutional finance.

Dimitri Masselos

Managing Member · Strategic Advisor

Dimitri Masselos

London · GCC

Dimitri brings to Broadway Capital a rare combination of institutional banking credentials and multi-generational commercial depth. His family has operated in international shipping since 1946 — a foundation that instilled an early and practical understanding of global trade, commodity flows, and cross-border finance. He began his professional career in 1997 and built his institutional experience across Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Wachovia, Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse (Clariden Leu), with responsibilities spanning private banking, corporate finance, underwriting, and senior management.

As founder of the Masselos Family Office and Strategic Advisor to Broadway Capital Trading, Dimitri oversees the firm's engagement with institutional counterparties in the GCC and European markets. His advisory scope encompasses natural resources, oil and gas, digital merchant banking, and trade finance — with additional family expertise in biochemistry, conservation agriculture, and cybersecurity. He has been active in international philanthropic initiatives since 2001.

Jitesh Nanda

Managing Director · Africa, Asia & GCC

Jitesh Nanda

Cape Town · Dubai

Jitesh leads Broadway Capital's global business development practice, with particular focus on connecting project sponsors in emerging and frontier markets with the capital structures and institutional frameworks they require. His operating experience spans 180+ countries through Air Cash — the funding facilitation platform he founded in 2014 — where he has spent over a decade making complex projects investor-ready and managing the risk parameters that institutional capital requires.

A serial entrepreneur with direct operating experience across finance, commodities, and technology, Jitesh founded Virtual Connecto to address operational efficiency for internationally distributed businesses, and launched Ouro Bullion in Switzerland to bring institutional-grade standards to ethical gold trading from artisan miners. As an active angel investor through CrossFund, he maintains a close working knowledge of early-stage technology in emerging markets. His international reach and sector breadth make him central to Broadway Capital's origination and client development across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Fernando Bacot

Managing Director · South America & the Caribbean

Fernando Bacot

Buenos Aires

Fernando brings more than three decades of international business development experience to Broadway Capital’s Latin American and Caribbean practice. Based in Buenos Aires, he serves as the firm’s primary point of contact for the region — connecting project sponsors and institutional counterparties with Broadway’s alternative capital structures and global financial network.

His professional foundation was built over fifteen years at the Commercial Office of the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires, where he served as International Trade Analyst and Advisor — promoting bilateral trade, conducting market intelligence for the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, and building an extensive network of institutional and private sector relationships across the region. He subsequently served as Head of Latin America for China’s Gongtuo Industry Group, sourcing mineral resources, non-ferrous metals, and agrocommodities for Chinese state-owned enterprises and private Asian buyers, and has since advised on international commodity transactions, corporate structuring, and financial due diligence as Managing Director of FERBAC Consulting LLC.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, Fernando holds a degree in International Trade and completed graduate studies in International Economic Relations at the University of Buenos Aires.
